Late cancellations limit the ability to fill the appointment slot and result in lost revenue. We ask for notice of cancellation a minimum of 24 hours in advance, but understand that unforeseen circumstances may limit the ability to provide advanced notice. If late cancellation (less than 24 hours prior to appointment) becomes a repeat occurrence, you will be invoiced for 50% of the reserved service fee, payable within 24 hours, and we will require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the service fee to secure future appointments. A credit card on file will also be required at this point.
New clients who cancel with less than 24 hours notice for their first appointment will not be re-booked for services with Pawsh Pet Spa without a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the reserved service fee.
As a service based business, missed appointments are lost revenue with no opportunity to recuperate the loss. If an appointment is missed without advanced notice (see cancellation policy), an invoice equivalent to 100% of the reserved service fee will be issued with payment required within 24 hours. At this point, we will require a credit card be kept on file prior to re-booking. If a second appointment is missed, your credit card on file will be charged for the full service fee and you will no longer be booked for services without a non-refundable deposit of the full reserved service fee.
New clients who miss their first appointment will not be re-booked for services with Pawsh Pet Spa.
Come on in! If you need car-side service, just give us a call when you arrive.
In order to maintain a low stress environment, early drop offs require prior approval. If you will need to drop off more than five minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time, please let us know when scheduling to ensure we have the ability to accept an early arrival. Without prior approval, you will be asked to wait or return at your scheduled appointment time. New clients and reactive dogs will not be accepted early.
If you will be late, please contact us as soon as possible. Because we work with one pet at a time, we may be unable to accommodate you if you are late for your appointment as we would have to push back all appointments for the day. We understand that things happen and simply ask that you communicate with us. With or without notification, late arrivals may be treated as a late cancellation or a missed appointment (see above).
In order to maintain a low stress environment, late pick ups require prior approval. If you will be unable to pick up your pet upon completion, please inform us when scheduling your appointment so that we may schedule an alternate pick up time to avoid interrupting another client's service. Pets not picked up within 15 minutes of completion without prior approval will not be accepted for future services. New clients and reactive dogs must be picked up upon completion of services.
All pets must be picked up no later than 4:30 p.m. (3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays). At 4:30 (3:30 on Tuesdays), we leave for the day. If your pet is left beyond this time, they will be kenneled for their safety and you will need to contact us to arrange a pick up time. A $50 fee will be applied to your total for any pets left beyond our regular hours.
We do not provide reminder calls. Our scheduling system sends confirmation texts and emails, but technology is not perfect, so please note the date and time of your appointment when scheduling.
All dogs must be current on the rabies vaccination. Written proof will be required at least 24 hours prior to your first appointment, and at each renewal of the vaccine thereafter, and can be sent by email or text.
We strongly encourage you to follow your veterinarian’s recommendations for other core vaccines including highly contagious illnesses such as bordetella and influenza. Pawsh Pet Spa does everything in our power to prevent the spread of illness within our salon. We cannot be held liable for an illness that can be prevented by vaccination.
Matting or impacted coat can cause or conceal many different skin issues including, but not limited to, minor skin irritations, bruising, swelling, loss of circulation, lacerations, hot spots, fleas, ticks, and abscesses. If we discover anything during the appointment, you will be notified. Depending on the severity of the matting and the sensitivity of the dog's skin, it is not unusual for skin irritation (sometimes called "clipper burn") to develop in the 24-48 hours following matted coat removal. Some dogs will have behavioral reactions to matted coat removal as well.
Any health issues or injuries arising as a result of matting, or the removal of matting, are the responsibility of the owner. Dematting and matted coat removal will be charged based on the additional time and product required to remove the matting. Your pet's condition will be photographed and kept on file should issues arise post-grooming.
At Pawsh Pet Spa, we do not provide flea treatments as the safety of flea shampoos is highly debated. If your pet has fleas, please contact your veterinarian at least 48 hours prior to your appointment for fast acting treatment and a preventative. We encourage all dog owners to administer flea prevention year round or as directed by their veterinarian.
If a dog is found to have fleas at the time of service, a $40 cleaning fee will apply as we have to halt services to ensure that fleas do not spread inside our salon or to other clients. Ticks will be removed if the head is able to be removed. Otherwise, we will direct you to your veterinarian.
Canine Illness: We ask that pet owners disclose all health issues their pet has whether they seem relevant or not. Pawsh Pet Spa is not liable for the discovery of or aggravation of health issues during routine grooming.
If your pet has been sneezing, coughing, vomiting or having gastrointestinal symptoms, we ask that you please reschedule your appointment until after your dog can see your veterinarian and be cleared for grooming. If a dog presents with these symptoms at drop off, service will be refused and it is treated as a missed appointment with 100% of the reserved service fee due.
Human illness: If you are not feeling well, please let us know over the phone so that we can take proper precautions to stay healthy. If we get sick, not only is that no fun, but it inconveniences our other clients, too.
In the event of inclement weather, our cancellation policy is waived. The safety of our clients is very important to us and we will not penalize someone for cancelling an appointment due to inclement weather.
Depending on the severity of the weather event, we reserve the right to reschedule appointments at our discretion. We do not apply a discount for appointments rescheduled due to severe weather.
In the event of an emergency on our part, we will do all we can to contact you as far in advance as possible and will reschedule your appointment as soon as we are able. We consider an emergency reschedule to be less than 24 hours notice. All rescheduled appointments due to an emergency on our part will be discounted by 10%.
Prices are subject to change. Current clients on a regular schedule (8 weeks or less) will be notified of any price increase at the appointment prior to the effective increase. Clients who have not been seen in 10 weeks or longer will be charged at current pricing.
